Human Dignity - Christos Dc Meets The Skankin Monks

The official release date is set for February 26, 2016.
Monday, February 8, 2016 - Washington, D.C. - Honest Music is proud to announce the first release of the new year by Christos DC alongside The Skankin Monks. Human Dignity is slated for the official global digital release, distributed by Zojak Worldwide, February 26, 2016.

The lyrics for "Human Dignity" were written as a response to many world events that have compromised the dignity of human beings all across the globe. We live in a changing world which has given birth to many struggles and has created a great responsibility for us in acting on behalf of current situations for the benefit of future generations. The lyrics are self-evident and express my personal desire to see less war mentality in the world. The rock-solid music production comes from Amsterdam's finest reggae outfit, The Skankin Monks. I first heard and met them a year ago and was immediately struck by their authentic roots reggae sound with a modern twist. When I started to write to the track, it was as if the lyrics jumped onto the page.

I decided that for this release, I would add a personal touch and draw the cover myself. I have been a long-time supporter of visual arts and have been recently applying myself to this craft, and felt this was a great way to further express what this song and its message mean to me. The image is entitled "Fragmented Symbology" - it is inspired by the Adinkra symbol Dwennimen which symbolizes humility and strength, as well as the Greek symbol Meandros which symbolizes unity. Every human has inherent worth: this sums up the idea of "Human Dignity."
